The Precinct
The Food Innovation Precinct Western Australia is a state-of-the-art facility fostering industry innovation to drive business growth, develop new products and exports, and transform Western Australia’s food and beverage manufacturing industry.
We are an ecosystem of innovation with a research and development facility, a production building and a one-stop common-use food-technology amenity.
The precinct is split across three buildings, the Innovation Centre, The Research and Development Centre, and the Food and Beverage Production Centre.

Research & Development Centre
Managed and run by Murdoch University through its Future Foods Institute, the centre works with businesses on a range of initiatives across the value chain of food production to consumption. Working alongside the Innovation Centre and the Production Centre, businesses can test market demand and buyers, allowing them to invest with confidence in new large-scale commercial production lines.
Innovation Centre
A landing pad for businesses and entrepreneurs the Innovation Centre is a hub of activity where individuals create new business collaborations, monetise their services, ideate on opportunities and expand their networks domestically and internationally. In addition to co-working spaces for small and medium enterprise and entrepreneurs, the centre connects vital services to food and beverage and agri-tech businesses ranging from Asia focused export services, market and consumer testing, new agri-technology transfer and application programs, government related services, business planning and financial services.
Food & Beverage Production Centre
The Western Australian Government provided a significant investment to create a common-use food technology facility at the Production Centre. The facility houses advanced food manufacturing equipment that will assist primary producers and help food and beverage businesses develop, test and produce new and improved products. Situated in the same complex is Spinifex Brewery who make beverages infused with native Indigenous botanicals.
